Credit Sales (Returns)

The "Credit Sales" page is where you handle customer returns and issue "Return Notes."

How to Credit a Sale

  1. Find the Sale: To begin, you must search for the posted sale you wish to credit. You can search by:

    • Sale ID
    • Customer Name

    You can get this information from the "View Sales" page.

    Important: Unlike other search bars in the app, this search is case-sensitive.

  2. Review the Original Document: After you select a sale, its original document (invoice) will be displayed.

  3. Choose Your Credit Type: You have two options for processing the return:

    • Partial Credit: You can select specific items from the sale to return.
    • Full Credit: You can click the "Credit Entire Sale" button to return all items from the sale at once.
  4. Provide a Reason: You are required to provide a reason for the credit (e.g., customer return, damaged item).

Once processed, the sale's status will be updated to "Partially Credited" or "Fully Credited" on the "View Sales" page.
