Stock Entry (Supplier Deliveries)
The "Stock Entry" page is what you will use for your daily operations to add new products you receive from a supplier.
1. Delivery Details
Before adding items, you must first specify the supplier and any reference numbers:
- Supplier: You can search for an existing supplier or create a new one on the fly.
- Invoice No: (Optional) The invoice number from your supplier.
- Reference No: (Optional) Any other reference number for the delivery.
2. Adding Items to the Delivery
You can add items by searching for them. If an item doesn't exist, the system will prompt you to create it.
Creating a New Product
The form is very similar to the "Initial Stock Entry" page, but with a few key differences for supplier tracking:
- You will not see an input for "Loose Pieces."
- You will see these extra fields:
- Expiry Alerts: Set the number of days before expiry to receive an alert (default is 30 days).
- Bonus Quantity: (Default 0) Any free items given by the supplier. This quantity is added to your stock but not to your total cost.
- Discount (%): (Default 0) Any discount given for this specific product.
Adding an Existing Product
When adding an existing product, you will also see the Bonus Quantity and Discount (%) fields, allowing you to track supplier deals on a per-item basis.
3. Reviewing Your Entry
As you add items, they will appear in a list at the bottom of the form. You can remove items from this list before finalizing the stock entry.
This section also shows you a summary of the delivery:
- Total Paid Items: The total number of items you paid for.
- Bonus Items: The total number of free/bonus items.
- Total Cost: The final cost of the added items after all discounts are applied.
